Accounts
Creative Developer Tools uses a central registry to track user accounts, developer accounts, licensing and activations.
This registry does not contain any identifiable data user data.
It consists solely of tables with hashed data which cannot be traced back to the original data. The original data (user name, unlock code…) is only retained on the user’s computer – not in the registry.
In the registry, all users are identified by a featureless, random GUID.
Each user account has a randomly generated public/private key pair, where the private key is only securely stored on the user’s computer and the public key can be verified in this registry.
For developers, this registry also stores a table to associate their account GUID to their licensed allowances for Creative Developer Tools (free vs. paying developers).
